Most trade for $1–3, but limited editions, cast exclusives and event pins routinely bring $25–$250, and rare pieces reach four figures. The value is unevenly distributed — which is why flat-rate bulk buyers are a bad deal for good binders.

Weight, post and clasp quality, enamel fill, edge finish and backstamps — counterfeits fail on several at once. We check as we price, and we don't buy fakes.
